2011 Race Schedule

With the 2010 year coming to a close it's time to start thinking about next year. 2010 was a great year for us, and we're looking forward to another in 2011.

As of this moment we're planning on hitting all the big west coast events. Monterey Motorsports Reunion (Historics), Sonoma Historics, CSRG Charity challenge to name a few. We're also planning some 'away' races out of state in 2011 as well in the Mini Mania sponsored "Monty Mini Cooper S", the "Bumble Bee" Unsbee Mini and the "Green" Mini.

Feburary will be my first chance to test the "Monty" Mini after this winter's rebuild. After taking second quick time of the day in the last race (CSRG 2010 Charity Challenge) we had the layshaft disintegrate causing the oil pickup to clog up with metal, hense retiring on the formation lap of the final race of the weekend. The Feburary/march races will be important, as the next two race will be back to back, the first at Infineon Raceway, Sonoma CA, and then we go directly to Hallet Raceway, in Hallet Oaklahoma! So hopefully we'll have no problems.

After we get back, the next race will be in Reno, which i really enjoyed last time I went, but I will most likely only be able to run on Saturday if at all, as my best friend is getting married that Sunday (Dunno if that a good or bad thing ;) But Don and Julie will be at this event.

Next up will be the Sonoma Historics. In its second year under this name (previously the 'Wine Country Classic') this is a HUGE race, and there will a lot of cars to look at. If you want to seem them ALL on track you'll have to plan on being there for two days, Saturday and Sunday. As there are so many cars we can't all get on track on the same day.

Next is Mini Meet West. Yes not really a race, but it's on the schedule and we'll have all the cars there to look at.

Next up will be another field trip to Portland. Always a lot of fun. I won this race last year, so I'm looking forward to returning.

The Monterey Historics (now called 'Motorsports Reuion') is in August. We don't have our acceptance letter yet for this event but we're hopeful we'll get in again.

The Final race of the year is usually the CSRG Charity Challenge at Infineon Raceway, and we will be at this event even though I don't have a date yet. There is also the CSRG season finalle at thunderhill afterwards, that we will try and make this year, which I also don't have a date for.
